Wake-surface thermal signature

Film-Cooling Large Eddy Simulation
Film-cooling simulation of a gas-turbine endwall. Cool air is injected through a cylindrical hole, helping to keep the surface from melting due to the hot gas flow (left to right). Due to turbulent fluctuations, the cold film layer is ultimately mixed and no longer effective.
